H.U.E ART EXHIBITION – HOPE UNFOLDS THROUGH EDUCATION
The H.U.E art exhibition (Hope Unfolds through Education) will officially open on June 26, 2024, at the main lobby of New World Saigon Hotel, offering a creative and uplifting space where the power of education and art intersect to create wonders.
H.U.E – Hope Unfolds through Education celebrates the diversity and richness of art and the power of education in igniting dreams. The exhibition will showcase works by renowned artists (Claire Binkley, Ivan Shenevsky, Lâm Sơn Thân, P.artspace_, Richie Fawcett, Phạm Rồng), professional young artists, and talented students from the Ho Chi Minh City University of Fine Arts. Notably, the exhibition will also feature inspiring works by children benefiting from Saigon Children’s Charity (saigonchildren) programmes, including scholarship recipients, students and alumni from the Thăng Long English and Vocational Training School’s art class, as well as autistic children from the Early Intervention Class under the Special Needs Education Programme. Among these is the standout painting “Colourful Garden” by K.V., a student from saigonchildren’s Early Intervention class. Before joining the program, K.V. was shy and reserved, struggling with emotional regulation. Now, with support from early intervention specialists and family, K.V. has made significant progress in cognition and language, showing a keen interest and talent in drawing. The H.U.E exhibition is a collaborative initiative between saigonchildren, New World Saigon Hotel, and Limitless Contemporary. Saigonchildren brings to the exhibition the artwork of children benefiting from its educational programmes, helping the public to gain a deeper understanding of the power of education and art on young minds. The long-established New World Saigon Hotel joins the event as a collaborative partner, with its luxurious space swiftly transforming into an engaging hub, connecting art-passionate souls from young adults to business professionals. Limitless Contemporary serves as the art advisor and media supporter, bringing expertise and artistic vision to connect artists with the public and create an inspiring exhibition. Ho Chi Minh City University of Fine Arts supports the exhibition by providing talent and artistic assistance, emphasising the role of education in the development of art.
Mr. Damien Roberts, Executive Director of saigonchildren, shares: “We believe that every child deserves the opportunity to develop through education and art. The H.U.E exhibition is not only a display of outstanding artworks but also a call to action for the community to come together to help disadvantaged children achieve their dreams.” After the opening night on 26th June, which is by invitation only, the exhibition will be open to the public from 27th June to 10th July 2024.

About Limitless Contemporary
In recent years, contemporary art in Vietnam has undergone a positive transformation with a generation of young artists diligently creating works with declarative ideas and high aesthetic values. However, the connection between artists and the public remains fragile, prone to breaking. An education system lacking in teaching art history and receptive theories limits the creative force and aesthetic vision of the public. As a response to this reality, Limitless Contemporary emerges to bring contemporary art closer to the public through exhibition models and art events. Consequently, the public has the opportunity to delve into the realm of creative thinking, stirred by artworks rich in understanding of the exposed conceptual boundaries.
