Conservation and Biodiversity

We focus on protecting the ecosystems that quietly sustain everyday life—from coastal forests to urban green spaces—through actions that restore, educate, and engage. By working alongside local partners and communities, conservation becomes something lived, shared, and carried forward.

At New World Saigon Hotel, sustainability is a shared journey toward a greener and more connected future. This commitment came to life through “Beyond Green, Sustainable Dream,” where our team planted 810 mangrove trees in the Cần Giờ mangrove forest—one of Vietnam’s most important ecosystems. Mangroves play a vital role in protecting coastal communities, improving air quality, and strengthening resilience to climate change.

To reflect these values in action, our General Manager and Hotel Manager completed a 70-kilometer cycling journey from Bến Thành to Cần Giờ, underscoring our commitment to low-carbon choices and community-focused impact. Together, these actions show how collective effort can nurture both the environment and the communities we serve.

At New World Saigon Hotel, sustainability begins with care—for people, the planet, and the places we touch. In partnership with The Green Dots, we created a green garden at SOS Children’s Village Gò Vấp, offering underprivileged children a space to play, learn, and connect with nature.

The garden is supported through a six-month care and maintenance commitment until April 2026. From July to December, 161 volunteers from New World Saigon contributed 805 volunteer hours, tending plants and maintaining the space.

Serving as a living classroom, the garden fosters environmental awareness while strengthening bonds between associates and the local community—showing how sustained care can create meaningful, lasting impact.

At New World Saigon Hotel, Earth Day is not limited to 24 hours—it guides how we operate every day of the year. As part of Rosewood Group’s journey toward Net Zero 2050, we are proud to share tangible milestones shaped together with our guests.

In collaboration with MorEco and Thủy Canh Miền Nam, we created an interactive exhibition illustrating the lifecycle of plastic waste through recycled products and hydroponic gardening. Alongside this, the Green Living Workshop with Limloop offered practical insights into plastic impact, waste sorting, and nylon recycling. This Earth Day, we invite you to continue the “Do Good” journey with us—where small choices help shape a greener future.
